Skill Sets CHC41215 Certificate IV in Career Development

Introduction

The CEAV Institute is pleased to able be able to offer a series of micro-credential Skill Set(s) in the Career Development qualification - CHC41215 Certificate IV in Career Development.  

This full qualification contains 13 units of competency – 8 core and 5 elective units.   The course has been divided into 3 Skill Sets.   Each Skill Set has a duration of 6 months and will be offered as follows:

  • Skill Set 1 – July – December, 2021
  • Skill Set 2 – January - June, 2022
  • Skill Set 3 – July - December, 2022

If you wish to undertake the whole qualification, which is endorsed by CICA, it would be preferable to undertake the Skill Sets in the timing order above.   However, you can enrol in a Skill Set of your choice, noting the date advertised for the delivery of that Skill Set.   At this stage, enrolments can only be taken for Skill Set 1 for July - December 2021.   Enrolments for Skill Set 2 scheduled for January - June 2022, will be taken in November 2021.   

Each unit in each Skill Set is nationally recognized and forms part of CHC41215 Certificate IV in Career Development.  This approach allows you to complete the full qualification over eighteen (18) months or you can select which Skill Set(s) you wish to complete.

Each Skill Set in CHC41215 Certificate IV in Career Development is via a blended approach with two (2) workshops comprising four (4) days delivered via Zoom or face-to-face (covid-19 restrictions permitting). Assessment tasks are designed to apply your learning in your organisation.

For each Skill Set, a non-refundable deposit of $500 must be paid within 7 days of enrolment.

You will be invoiced the total amount owing of $1,000 with a monthly reminder of a $250 payment over four (4) months.

Should a student withdraw after 28 days from Skill Set commencement, no refund will apply.

CHCLEG001 Work legally and ethically (C)

The legal and ethical framework that guides the roles and responsibilities of teachers and other workers when teaching, recording and advising on career education in schools.

The process for conducting career guidance interviews and working as a case manager in schools to support learners to make informed career decisions.

CHCCOM002 - Use communication to build relationships (C)

Interviewing and communication techniques to establish, build and maintain relationships with students, support staff and other stakeholders based on respect and trust.

CHCYTH011 - Work effectively with young people & their families (E)

Cooperating in mutual agreement on the activities, outcomes and processes of young people’s family members/nominated carers, for the purpose of achieving goals identified in consultation with the young person to address their concerns and/or risks.
