Naomi Corlett is the CEAV Senior Project Officer her role is to assist members through the delivery of professional learning, developing career education materials, answering questions regarding professional standards and researching trends in career development. She is also the editor for the CEAV e-Journal and the ECHO newsletter.
Naomi contributed to the development of the Victorian Careers Curriculum Framework for Years 3 to 12 and edited the first edition of the CEAV workbooks and teacher guides to assist schools to implement the framework.
Naomi has delivered professional learning programs to career practitioners, regional careers groups, students and parents. She has made presentations at a number of international career development conferences; such as the CATE conference in New Zealand in 2012, and been published in a range of career development publications, including the Australian Journal of Career Development.
Naomi was a career development practitioner in schools for 20 years and worked as a career development consultant for the DWEER, DEECD and Education Services Australia on projects such as the updating of the RECAP resource. In 2005 Naomi was successful recipient of the Commonwealth Careers Lighthouse Project funding and often collaborated with organizations in trailing new career products.
Naomi was CEAV President from 1995 – 1999 and as a Committee member focused on professional learning including the CEAV Biennial Conference.
Naomi has been a member of the boards of community organisations including Apprenticeship Plus, a group training company with branches in Melbourne and Tasmania.
Naomi has been actively involved in shaping and supporting a strong career development culture in schools.
